Motorhead last night! It was pretty wicked. My camera was dying, sadly, so I only had a limited number of photos of Lemmy, who was looking sexier than usual. I love old men.
I'm working at the Montreal Art Tattoo convention all weekend. If you haven't stopped by to see me and the other girls, make sure you do tomorrow! I'll be getting tattooed most of the afternoon ... yahooooo!
The weddig last weekend was really nice. I'm not usually a fan of going to weddings, but this was one of the few that actually was great to be at. For one thing, the ceremony was great, the bride and groom were so sweet during it, and the speeches done by the wedding party/family were in English, French, and Polish, it was really cool... The... If you want to write for cash (but no credit), MontrealPlus (Yellow Pages Group) is always looking for freelancers to do fact-checks and profiles on restos/clubs/shops/hotels... I've gotten a few people started, just as another freelancer friend did for me, if you're interested!
yeah, I'm definitely not much of a wedding person myself, but it does sound like an interesting one.
so i think i'm heading up to your wonderful country after all. i'm not in a good place mentally, and i think i need a change. i've never experienced cold weather like that so it'll be interesting I'm going with almost not money (if i go... there's stll a chance it wont happen), and i'm going to be your token illegal looking for under the table work for the few months that I'm there. I plan on staying until just after the new year, at which point I'll come back to my tiny island and thaw out. yeah, it'll be an adventure...
hey, do what you gotta do. a call center might not be so bad, and it'll give you some extra cash to tide you over until you find something else. with all of the languages you speak, you might just take over!
OR you can read leilani's entry and find another option hahaha
Several years ago I was in a shitty house with 4 or 5 other people, and we all went the grocery store to buy a meal. We had been scavenging change for a couple of hours, and we paid for our stuff with about $25 in assorted change. The cashier was not pumped about that.
I have barely read a novel in years. I read all the time-- magazines, news, poetry, essays, non-fiction, but I rarely read novels start to finish anymore. I read the Day of the Locust veryyy slowly, even though it is such a fast read, but I never had time to read more than a few pages at once. I'm reading another book that is like... Read More
I really want to know about the SG booth at the Montreal Art Tattoo Convention. I will be there... ! I just don't know what times yet ... Come visit me!
My book of rambling lunacy (essentially, poetry and prose) is now able to be purchased. I am debating whether or not I should sell it on SG. It is under a pseudonym, but meh.
I'm not sure how happy I am with it. But I can't wait to have a finished hardcopy in my hand.
thanks for the love on my latest set and for the balcony
oooh- let me know when it comes out! some SGs have sold their books on here real name and pseudonyms as well.. and have done alright.. maybe contact them and ask? (i can find out who if you want)
Aww guys. Thanks for the nice responses to my really pissed off yesterday-blog.
i ended up going to a carshow out in the middle of nowhere (Rigaud, Quebec) just a local thing, and then going to a bbq that didn't work so we cooked inside (haha), which was fun because it was with friends that I actually like. And since I've been sick over the... Read More
