Ok. Things are calmer now. I'm going to drink some tea and my strange little cat is sitting across the kitchen table, sniffing the window and rubbing his front paws on it...

My boyfriend of 3 years and I may be on the outs. I just wanted some time to clear my head and suddenly everything fell apart. This is strange and sad and I have no idea if it is for the best or not.

Yesterday I made cream puffs. Seriously. With choux pastry and (annoying to make) pastry cream, but also with mocha whipped cream.

They were phenomenal. Some of the best I have ever eaten. I don't like pastry cream much, so that part didn't thrill me (but I did it for the old man), but the whip cream and pastry was amazing. They looked good, the texture...

My brother came home from Botswana yesterday! I'm so happy he's home. I love that he is doing such amazing things for African animals, but I really wanted him home for Christmas... I completely predicted he would be home now too. I was convinced he was going to walk in the door on Thanksgiving (last Thursday). Heheheh.

I scrubbed my house top to bottom, washed the pillows and the sheets, cleaned all the surfaces, including the lightswitches and doorknobs and doorframes, really cleaned the bathroom, washed all dishes in SUPER hot water.... There is no way it was left in my house...
