My cat, Dave, does this, and then has to be extricated very carefully, as he wants to get out, but can't, and all the time his feline sensibility is revolted that a 'Not Cat' has to help, so he wriggles and nips, to slink off in a high dudgeon when freed. You never own a cat. They live with you on their own terms. I love cats, always have. They are not stupid - if you must, you can teach them things, but generally cats don't do tricks - because they don't want to. Cats, unlike dogs, think for themselves: a dog is ruled by it's id. A cat has id and ego. I do like cats a great deal, but they are, on the whole, furry bastards. Saying that, I could never envisage life without one. Their inscrutability is what makes them fascinating. 😉😘😘😘
