I finished sewing together my three layer tutu. These can be made just as easy by tying the tulle in knots around the waistband, but I wanted the practice on my machine. As for what the hell I needed a pink tutu for... I have no idea :)

I also hit the hobby store to pick up some art supplies. I thought it might be

5 Brain Disorders That Started As Evolutionary Advantages

Someone sent me a link to this article and I wanted to share. It has some interesting ideas on mental illness, it's prevalence in our modern society, and how it may have survived genetically because of it's advantages.

Worth a quick read.

All the sudden i feel less bad about things i suffer from and i feel badass instead. Thanks

I rather like that and although it could be great fun debating the minutiae of his specific analyses, the most exciting part for me is that the main thrust is spot on. Ignorance of our own inherited instinctual behaviors and responses is behind the disparity between the world we have and the great shining future we anticipated decades ago purely as a function of what's possible due to technological advancement. For one single decade, NASA under John Kennedy showed what our species is capable of when politics and money are not given center stage but many other examples also exist. I'm fond of you because you've moved out of the primitive prehistoric competitive framework into the creative one. ❤️

This past year I decided to get back into sewing. My grandmother had taught me when I was really young, like she had taught my mother.

For my first few projects, I decided to focus on some really easy DIY shirts - mostly just cutting, braiding, and hand stitching.

Next I'm going to sewing together a three tiered tutu... Mostly just because I've never had...

I was recently told to stop making "emo posts" - to which I respond Fuck You. I don't require anyone to read my words and don't mind being unfollowed by people who are disinterested in the topic. I'm here for me, not a popularity contest. Since severe depression, anxiety, and other symptoms plague my everyday existence, I sometimes feel the need to speak up -...

Things could be worst... You could have a siamese brother, you have 2 head but one butthole, hes gay and he has a date tonight....

Coming from someone with no mental instability(except that I'm a little crazy), i Haven't read one thing that made me think you are emo. In fact, you sound more intelligent and positive with your attitude towards your condition. I would say more people with mental conditions could learn a lot from you. Yes life can be a bitch but it can also be beautiful, hell look at this site for a perfect example. You keep doing you and to hell with the haters. Sounds like the haters have issues and need to learn to look in the mirror first before sharing their pitiful thoughts. you're apparently gorgeous inside and out! Happy for you.

I had a dream, which was not all a dream.
The bright sun was extinguish'd, and the stars
Did wander darkling in the eternal space,
Rayless, and pathless, and the icy earth
Swung blind and blackening in the moonless air;
Morn came and went—and came, and brought no day,
And men forgot their passions in the dread
Of this their desolation; and all hearts
Were...

I've seen desperation.

The sort that arises from the detached isolation when we believe no one can love us. When we're more alone and more vulnerable than ever. Watched others in this state flail in a futile fight to keep those they love from walking away. Wondered why they couldn't see that it was their own fear and frustration driving them into abandonment just when...

Many things will masquerade as love to fool any or all of us but the real thing, while it may change, will never die.

She asked me why I was doing this… and I couldn’t even answer. If ever I’ve suffered, it’s been my own doing. I’ve held my hand to the flame and just let it burn. We used to play Mercy. We hurt each other until we cried out in pain. That was always the game: to see who could endure more. Did it make us any...

Our experience of ourselves and the world owes more to our beliefs than to what is actually real, even though our perception is that our beliefs are based on what we observe. That was the process in early childhood when our critical faculties were very undeveloped and here we are as adults acting on the basis of a child's construction of what's real. If anyone was ever justified in allotting no time to testing or contemplating their own strength, it would be you. Feeling weak is not being weak; we all have limitations and the intellect to comprehend how small any human being is in the context of the universe.

Love the way you express yourself.  I hope you are keeping this stuff for future use.

Considering finding new treatment for myself.

Every once in awhile I find a video or article that offers a little more insight into the struggle. I wanted to share.

This is a really good one! Thanks for sharing, the bit where he talks about the east African guys impression of western treatment made me laugh hysterically. Had some great insight too. I hope whatever you try works out for ya if you go with it.
