Ik wil gewoon eerst even kijken hoe het gaat, maar op mijn werk weten ze ervan dus het is geen probleem als ik eerder wegga. Ik ben alleen bang (gezien het feit dat ik nog in mijn proeftijd zit), dat ze me er zo uitschoppen, maar dat zullen we ook wel zien. Morgen iig voor het werk eerst even met mijn baas praten hierover.
Ik zal Robi zeker bellen, heb gezegd dat ik wel kwam werken zaterdag, maar donderdag zal ik even bellen of ik definitief kom. Jammer dat je ziek was afgelopen zaterdag, het was wel erg gezellig!

The first thing I want to say when I read this is that I am so bloody jealous. How horrible of me! But at the same time I am so happy for you.. that I am so jealous means that I understand how ace this is for you (did you see how I turned a bad thing around just like that, haha). My friends went there too and loved it. Cambodia was pretty hard, they only went to see the killing fields and the remeniscence of the Pol Pot regime. And fuck I even cried over the photo's. And Laos.. so fucking beautiful. Angkor Wat.. oh my. Yes, in the end I am more happy for you then jealous. Also because next winter I will do the same, try to get away for 4 weeks (if possible) probably to Bali, Indonesia, but maybe not because a ticket to Indonesia is twice as expensive as one to Malaysia or Laos or Cambodia or South India or Nepal or one of those other places I would love to go.
How long are you going? And how did you manage to save that kind of money; again? My new tattoo will cost as much as a ticket.. but I don't have the possibility to leave this season anyway.

They've been privatizing the prison and jail system for years now over here. It's a huge industry. The Patriot Act was passed, which basically shredded the Bill of Rights, wiping out any sort of constitutional protection from shit like that.

You need not even be charged anymore in a court of law to be detained anymore. With the new "enemy combatant" status which can be levied by pretty much anyone in the federal government, they can detain you indefinitely without charging you or disclosing your whereabouts to anybody. They can lock you up and throw away the key for good, sending you, most likely to one of these concentration camps, or maybe ship you overseas to a country in which there are no legal barriers to torture, just because they don't like the t-shirt you are wearing. There is no one for them to answer to with the advent of these two new doozies these tyrannical fratboys have brought us. It stinks of evil.

The Bush/Cheney administration are all treasonous criminals of the highest kind, and hopefully we will soon see some of them locked up in the prisons of their own making, now that they are soon on their way out, having all but destroyed all of the gains the United States has made in it's relatively short history, and bringing it and the rest of the civilized world to its knees while empowering our extremist enemies.
