Geckos are probably the best way to deal with cockroaches, I had a whole army of them in my hotel room during my last work trip and I never saw any roaches. Although these geckos would sing at night which was kind of annoying but it's better than waking up because you felt a roach run across your face.

I don't think you should drop your friendship with him. you can't control how men are going to feel about you. if you value the person he is, and he means something to you as a friend, then you should be a friend. he needs to learn to work through those feelings of his, and you abandoning him now won't help. would you want the same if the tables were turned? you don't have to stress so much on what you're doing, how you're acting, if it's leading him on... just treat him like you would any other friend, no more. if you do things with him that you don't with others, then yes, you are leading him on maybe. otherwise don't worry. it's all a part of human growth. be a friend
