All work and no play leaves her a rancid girl. She acts out, lacerations and bruises left on inappropriate skin, spots you just can't seem to hide behind high collars and ohhh does that smart when you sit down. Next morning's smeared eyeliner tells as many tales as the lipstick legends from the last night. Chipped polished hands picking through purses and jacket pockets, looking...

Hello depraved darlings. Your favorite misanthrope has been a busy one avoiding the bustle of yule tide, she was found recently screaming at red green and white lights swigging straight from the bottle spreading her own version of holiday cheer, curses and obscenities galore. A lady must do something to pass the time, am I wrong?
And what of my other endeavors as of late,...

As Christmas nears and the Solstice hovers, I randomly found a cheap, plastic decoration at my doorstep: a gargoyle holding the inscription from the gates of hell. I took the pliers and blowtorch to all my local Portland friends, and none fessed up, so I must presume it was Santa. Who knows? Maybe the Immortal One favors the Goth in all of us.
A Christmas book suggestion gift for Fractal: Check out 'Blood Meridian' by Cormac McCarthy, if you haven't already. It's a cheery read. Seems up your alley.

Hey, everyone celebrates differently!
It's taken me almost this long to adjust to waking up in the same place every day. I'm still not entirely used to it.
Last week I went for a 5 hour drive just for the hell of it, I missed the movement of the landscape alongside a freeway.
And now...well...hm. I have really nothing to say at the moment, I'm sick with the SARS...

There's this interesting portrait shop here in Seattle on Broadway that has a picture of you posted outside their store, right across from this sushi place I eat at a lot.
Tonight, I'm going to fall asleep with my makeup still on.
Again.
Tonight, I'm going to fall asleep in a city or a town or a somewhere that I have no idea where.
Again.
Tonight, my lips are dry and my eyes are scratchy, and I was cold and drank my fill to keep me warm.
Again.
And I thought about things.

May the wiskey fill your cup till your fill has been had then let the morning come with a renewed self and a vision of a brighter day. I think you are beautiful, Fractle, and I don't think a woman as beautiful as you should should ever be given a reson to cry but if the day arises when you do, I hope you have good friends and lovers near by that will give you comfort and peace, and help to combat the shadows of your life.

I prefer the word 'fear' because 'dislike' doesn't really sum up their sheer awfulness.
I lived in a house.
An apartment, really.
It was on the ground floor of the building, and all the windows faced to brick walls.
One evening, I returned to my apartment that all the windows faced to brick walls, to discover something that hadn't been there before.
A mass grave.
A massacre, if you will.

hey, it was good to meet you the other night!
persephone:
oh and in reference to your journal, that happened to me once. I was dating this guy so I was spending a lot of time at his house and I hadn't been home for a few days. My roommate calloed me and said that our house was full of flies, but it was during the summer and that happens when it's hot so i didn't think it was a big deal. Well, I came home the next day and I didn't see any flies. I proceeded to clean the living room and i found piles of dead flies on the window sills, like thousands of them. I don't know if i beleive in ghosts, but it reminded me of the Amityville Horror, among other things that happened.
I took a step out the last few months, turned my back and left a life behind. I returned to an old one, and seem to have gotten realities mixed up.
I wonder if all Geminis lead these double and triple lives?

Will you be the next to leave Fractal? VIVA LA REVOLUTION....
She may not be fit for public consumption, for private interludes, or for nocturnal emissions.
Maybe.
Insidious madness seeping through the cracks. It's more fun this way anyway.
Once she thought she was going home, then she realized that home doesn't necessarily mean where you grew up. It's just geography.

A little madness now and then is relished by the wise. The place you are, however, is built on madness. The very life is choked out by the sheer mass of it.
Home is where you feel safe and loved. Some wealthy people are homeless and some that others call homeless are at ease wherever they go.

You will always be moving on. There isn't really any going back, but there are times when you will briefly regain a familiar feeling and it will make you smile or at least sigh contentedly because you know there is still some continuity.
