My Dad got a PhD in science education, and he only taught science for about 2 years, then he stopped because it wasn't all it was cracked out to be for him. So I think the important thing is just having the bachelors/masters degree on your resume. unrelated topic from yesterday's journal: do you prefer sweet & sour or just regular pickles?

the same thing happened to me with school. i got dumped into the 3-yr BA program, so now i have to work my ass off and get back in. i'm taking a full load this year, even though i only need 3 to graduate with a BA.
but a 3-yr isn't worth much anymore.. especially in my program.

Booooo! I just found out my marks from this last year at school 
No I didn't fail but my marks are still pretty awful. Ah failure (I feel like this) woe is me. I did not get into my program of choice, honours women's studies. I guess this means I will just have to complete the 3 year degree and work harder on my marks......

I know where you're coming from on the school thing; I'm kinda the same way myelf. The difference is, you're sticking with it. Don't lose hope - even if you don't get into the honours program, you're still gonna get your degree, and that's really something to be proud of. I bet you could kick Einstein's ass. Plus, he was ugly.

I'm bugged by social smokers who won't buy a pack for themselves when going out and smokers who don't carry lighters. This came up on the 4th weekend...I must have bummed out half of every pack and was constantly pulling my lighter out of my pocket through the course of the evening. It wears on you...
