my heart goes out to you. i just lost my best friend a few weeks ago. my 10 year old 150lb. german shepard. that dog rocked like no other. he had been having some health problems, but we never expected him to go anywhere near this soon. as the vet was called and everything, i was hugging him as he lay on the ground and saw him look around as though making sure it was ok, and then i felt the life slip out of him right in my arms. it was so painful, but i'm glad i was there at least. he never had an undignified day and he wasn't about to start then.
