I'd be disappointed if your verdict was that you did like it.
Frankly, i don't think videogame writers should be allowed anywhere near legitimate cinema. Convoluted, confusing stories are fine when you have like 40 hours to sort everything out and the diversion of puzzles and boss battles between every major plot point, but condense the whole thing into 2 hours or so and it becomes unbearable.
I say this assuming that the writers behind Advent ChildrIen weren't accustomed to writing for conventional cinema. If they were, then they're just baadd.
After hearing so much about how great AC was I finally decided to watch it. I thought it was okay, pretty graphics but the storyline was just rather dull. I didn't care for Legend of the Crystals or The Spirit Within much either. Now if only they would make a Valkyrie Profile CG movie.......
