Some ladies have a problem drawing a distinction between an arrogant asshole and a confident man. There's a world of difference between the two. One is pretending to be what the other actually is.
You're frustrated. It's understandable. I also fully understand why some adult models and dancers grow to hate males because of the dense number of assholes that usually occupy their professional spheres.
In the future, when you meet a fellow that reminds you of the one you are ranting about, run in the other direction
