quasimedical opinion: lots and lots of vitamin c. i recommend one of the special naked juices, and a lot of it. lots of rest. spicy food is a quick fix for a stuffed nose. if your throat is acky feeling - drink green tea - or "tea" of 1/2 vinegar, 1/2 water (warm)...i used to sing backup for an impersonator and did it while sick before a show, worked like a charm. therma flu...what else is good...stay warm, watch movies you like, do what you want because you can (you're sick). oh, and cheesy/milky things might make you snotful so you might want to avoid.

The only thing that ever helps me out of that is light Yoga with concentrated breathing... dunno if that'll help, but even the breathing, counting one (breathe in through nose) two (breathe out through mouth) and repeat. Worst case scenario is your mood will change to bored
