Try layby - if you want something, can you layby it and have enough in the budget to pay it off over the 6/8 week layby period? If not, then you can't have it and you'll just have to save!

my tip is save one weeks pay and not do anything, then come next pay only spend a maximum of that pay only and never go below that unless an emergency. Rinse and repeat every couple of weeks. This is like the crash course to saving that I do.
