If you're in LA, check out Leimert Park-- I'm am madly in love with the scene there. It's like poet's church, the people are just brilliant and spiritual and supportive. I do spoken word there often.

be a clean freak. i'm so not. when i actually get down to cleaning i do a good job of it. it's just the act of getting off my ass and starting the process.

I just cleaned my yard and rescued a bunch of earthworms from being raked up by the neighbors. My dog doesn't like being outside. I bought her one of those tie out things and she just sits on the stepts and cries. I thought she might want to play outside....eh.
