I've been a DJ on KUCI 88.9FM in Irvine, CA for around a year and a half now. I do a show called Trash-o-matic Garbage A-go-go and go by the name Filthy Rotten Wes on the air.
One night, when I used to be on Saturday nights from 12AM-3AM, I got a call from a british man who claimed to be listening to my show in his car. Except he was in Santa Monica, where he most likely was listening to KXLU (We both share the same place on the dial). He asked me about the ethereal Japanese music I was playing but I had no clue what the hell he was talking about. He asked me if I could play more and I told him I don't play that stuff, but I could play some Guitar Wolf if he wanted to hear something Japanese.....Anyways, he just kept talking in circles and asking me about the show, eventually moving on to asking me personal questions. When I was almost certain that he was just coming onto me I hurried him off the phone. He ended up calling back a few minutes later and asking the same questions about ethereal japanese music, but was referring to me as "darling." I was tuning him out until I heard the word "Stalker" come up a few times and then just hung up on him. My point (I guess) being you sure have some crazy listeners. Make sure the station door is locked while you're on the air late at night.
Anyways. How long have you been DJing? Do you ever hear about KUCI? We hear about you every so often. Wanna try and catch eachother's shows? (we're online at www.kuci.org)
