This is the year of the Fire Pig, running from Feb. 18, 2007 to February 6, 2008, and is also known as the Year of the Golden Pig, or jin zhu. How will you celebrate? I'm going to take a friend to a cafe called the Bourgeoisie Pig for some sweet treats.

Trust me. You should see Al Gore's documentary "An Inconvenient Truth." If you only do one thing for me this year, please make sure that one thing is to watch this film. It is very important, in my grand opinion.

I was VERY skeptical at first before seeing this documentary. There was so much hype surrounding the film that I was expecting it to be...

Just remember anything that political is also VERY commercial. And there in lies the problem.

Last night my hubby & I watched "Fahrenheit 9/11" on telly (for some reason our local video / DVD store never got it in), & we were both RIVETED. Michael Moore is a bloody legend. Everything makes so much more SENSE to us now!

Have just come back from watching Mel Gibson's "Apocalypto" at the cinema. In 2004, I visited Chichen Itza, the ancient Mayan ruins in Mexico, & have been enthralled by the history of this incredible civilisation ever since. The movie is excellent.

Tell you what: I'll definitely make sure I see "An Inconvenient Truth" if you promise me you'll see "Apocalypto"...how does that sound? wink smile

BTW, I loved your previous blog entry on your trip to Ojai. Am eagerly anticipating Part 2 biggrin

I was just over on My Space looking at the Suicide Girls page. The page is very well done and is a great way to introduce people to SG. I like how they have previews of sets and entice their audience to check out the real deal. So I decided to go through some of the preview sets and read the comments to see what...

I got my Xmas present today from Suicide Girl Headquarters. Weee! This is my first gift of the season. This reminds me, I need to do some shopping. I've been so involved with school lately that I haven't taken any time to shop. I don't have any decorations up, but I have been humming Xmas songs lately so I guess I am in the Xmas...

I'm a huge soup fan too. I had thought about keeping the crock pot on all week, and at the end of every day adding more stock and different veggies, and just having continual soup...Jim wasn't going for it though.

The best gift I ever got were tickets to LACMA to see the Van Gogh exhibit when it came to town. I loved that day so much.

i got a pair of hideous striped socks with a $1.99 price tag still attached from a former inlaw!

Why is it that every cellular phone store/kiosk/customer service center is employed by annoying individuals between the ages of 18 and 28? Each of these same individuals tend to not be the brightest bulb in the box, yet they try to fool you into thinking they are "all that" with their shiny bling and cool sneakers. Why can't they understand that I don't want to...

Just thinking back about 40 years ago the only ones to have cell phones was the crew of the Starship Enterprise.
benito45:
The easiest way around this is to just buy your phone through one of the auction sites online. That's what I did anyway.
