leaving that tank by a window creates a magnifying glass effect. the tank should have been in a cooler spot. but thats not your fault.

if i were you i'd go with a story similar to Shayne's and say the fish commited suicide. they jumped out of the tank and you found them on the floor. it's like romeo and juliet or something.

or i guess there's the truth. and if she's weird about that...that's her problem.
