Blood donation

Last Saturday I was part of Capitan Menganno's ("Captain Everydayman" for the lack of a better translation) blood donation campaign at Garrahan Hospital.
Garrahan Hospital is one of the biggest children's hospitals, if not the biggest in Argentina. It was my first time donating there and I was amazed to see such a huge hemotherapy centre.

@pyrdaemon I bet you were! But it makes sense, it would have been awful had you been infected. It's scary all the shit you can carry in your body and never even know. Lately it's like everyone I know has had Hepatitis... :/

Well, not as much fun as donating blood with superheroes! I donate whenever possible, now that they've decided that my living in Germany for 2 years isn't a reason to disqualify me.

So, I deleted everyone I follow. Difficult choice but truth is that after so many years it had become really hard to keep up with SG. Hopefully this system will be easier for me to keep up with.
As it is, I'm slowly following people again. I really hope I won't miss anyone important, but knowing me...

I know I shouldn't complain, but it's the complaining about the new site what's is getting on my nerves.
Sure, a lot of stuff doesn't work... But did anyone really expect it to be 100% functional after such a drastic change? You don't rebuild a site that's been online for 12 years in a weekend!

Around here there is still a lot of gender-roll stereotyping going on; women tend to do all the shopping. The only men I usually see at the store are either young (and likely single/living alone), or old (over 60). When I do see other men in the 30 - 40 range, they're usually either following their wife around the store like a puppy, or pushing the cart for her while she fills it.

Today is a cold day.
Very cold one.
