i really hated having to divert time away from my major to take classes which had nothing to do with it. but I guess in the end I am now a well-rounded educated person. I do believe that every college student should take some form of history class, otherwise our past mistakes in the world might come back because future generations 'forgot' them. And I think 1 class of english comp is good to take, although the english language is always in a state of evolution. other than that, the other classes should be major-related only. you could be done with school in less time; of course then the universities would loose money on those extra years...
