i just (pre)ordered an SG book. amazon got me w/that spend-a-little-more-&-get-free-shipping thing so i also got the tetherballs of bougainville : a novel by mark leyner and valis by phillip k dick. yay!

i realized last night that life is probably, generally, better than i give it credit for sometimes.

well, jet_synthetic and i are heading down south tomorrow morning. i can't hope to destroy the negative notions he has about the region, but i'm sure we'll have fun nonetheless.

we'll be gone for about two weeks...though i may be able to get on the internet at some point. my mom knows about SG at least. heh. miss me

i have an unfortunate addiction to chili pies from 7-11. mmm..fritos w/as much chili & cheese as you wish. it's gotta be the worst thing ever for you...but it tastes so good.

ain't it cool finding out that someone you think is really hot thinks the same of you?

i'm officially going to be a part of the "affective neuroscience laboratory." yay! i'll be helping in the lab (hooking people up to EEG, waiting to get their data, cleaning the equipment) as well as data analysis/data processing. i'm excited.

tomorrow after class i'm meeting with a professor i had last semester about working in her lab next year. (by working i mean getting research experience and credit but no pay).

it's an emotion research lab. subjects are hooked up to MRI & EEG among other things to test how the brain responds during an emotion. i had this professor for a class on emotion...
