I wish I had a decent job to give you. I wish my company had enough money in it to hire anyone, which it might if suckerass clients actually paid.

i dont think dressing up to get a job is really selling out. i dress up in full suit whenever i go meet with potential clients. i guess i just could care less what i wear in general. plus, my suit rocks. you can always find a way to look conservative enough to get a job, but still rock out.

or dress up to get the job and then when you have it wear whatever the fuck you want.

I don't believe that when you're really poor you need a vacation most. When I've been really poor, I've been able to make a vacation out of any time alone with my baby. When I've been really rich (like during the dot-com boom when I was making tens of thousands a day), I needed one the most, and nothing I could find was good enough for how rich I thought I was. The best suite on the cruise ship wasn't good enough -- we should have booked a better ship!!! When I got poor (or middle-class) again, i began to just enjoy a weekend trip to a rock concert with a pair of backstage passes, $40 worth of mushrooms, and my boss paying for the shitty Motel-6 style hotel. That's been the most vacation we've had in a few years and we've loved every one.

Oh (i never finish these things in the first post) -- nothing moves me mroe than the ocean at night. I romantically dream that rather than dying, I'll just drift off in the under-tow on enight, and live forever in the ocean under the moon.

I'm reading a book called "Yeats is Dead!" right now. It is written by fifteen different Irish authors, each doing a different chapter. It's about this guy who has a copy of Joyce's unpublished final novel called Yeats is Dead and they keep making references to Bloomsday, but I don't remember when it is.

Good luck in advance on graduating - would still like to read your Joyce paper! Hope it was well received.
