I always get burned out on school after about a month. I then tend to skip class for about a week and "recharge". I like to think it helps more than it hurts, but who knows.

i dreaded telling my mum that i was moving out :/ she, like your mum took it very well ! you most probably dont need as much money as you think. you will get a job as soon as you get there so dont worry too much about that. yay....i feel so excited for you. the turning of a leaf maybe just what you need ?

challenge yourself. choose the $ amount you want to attain within x months. choose an amount that's a bit "over the top". at first it might seem impossible to accomplish, but that's the point. that should serve as a motivator to push yourself to prove you wrong.

that's what i did. i set the $ amount i want to have by the end of this year and i already hit it with two and a half months to spare.

Reclusion has worked for me. If I don't go out, I don't spend money. Of course, it has its disadvantages, too.

Wow. Without knowing the situation between you and your father, I can practically feel through the internet the pain you're in as a result of this. I doubt there's really anything I can say or write that would make things better, but I wish you nothing but the best of luck in dealing with all this.

so many pages in my paper-journal devoted to the love and hate of my father...i think the general crappyness of dads these days (and maybe since time memorial) makes me want to work with youth. i hope you find the means to untap your strength when faced with your father.

yeah right...the thing is that i'm really not a good guitar player to begin with. it's just a hobby at best and the new guitar is well beyond my abilites as it is, but i really wanted it so i got it anyway.
i ordered it online and i hope that it get's here in a week or so.
as for playing in front of girls...well, i usually don't. especially in your case as you know what a decent guitar player can do.
i'd just look like a dipshit.
now playing in front of people that have no idea, that's another story completely.
now if i were collin, i'd just take my shirt off, grab a guitar, and watch the girls come runnin'.
