Urg... I'm upset right now.

With the addition of our new leader in the kitchen, several new positions have opened up. I have made it very clear for some time now that my biggest problem with work was having to work split shifts or evening shifts. Then, recently a position was opened for the day team, and once again, I put my name in the hat.

I told the new chef "I may not know everything I need to know for the position yet, but I would like to know what i have to do to be considered for the day team".

Tonight I heard the chef talking to one of my co workers though, and apparently they are going to be on the day team. Now granted, if I'm not the best for the position, I really don't expect to be promoted into it. However, in this instance, the person he's moving is under me... he's only been in the kitchen for less than two or three months now, and he certainly doesn't know near to as much about work as I do.

I asked to talk to the chef about it, but he hasn't had time for me yet. I'm pissed off though. I don't feel like they do anything there to try to keep us happy.
