Just gonna be honest here. The Army isn't a bad choice. My husband joined the Navy to provide a future for he and myself and our future kids...well now we have one on the way...but that is because we can afford it. We have a roof over our heads, food on the table and sometimes money left over. We get to travel...I'm from Oregon...living 45 minutes N. of Chicago..how fucking awesome is that?? I have an opportunity for a college education because of the military and so does my husband. He wants to do at least 10 years which I'm all for but even if you were to do 4 you'd still benefit.

The military is not a negative, it's an honorable, honest to god living. It may not be easy it may not be as fun as working part time or even 40 hours a week but it's so worth it to have security.

I think you really should quit with the negative and takes some positives into your life. I was 17 when I met my husband. I had a bad drinking problem and was about to have a serious breakdown. I'm now 19, 20 next month and married with a baby on the way. He got me away from all of the bs and gave me a good life. Just because you don't have someone to do that for you doesn't mean you can't do it for yourself. Don't strip if you don't like it, don't flip burgers if you don't like it. Take 4 years out of your life, go see the world, do something for your country and then when you enlistment is up go to school or use whatever your training in the Army was to get a quality job.

Flipping burgers for the rest of your life is not something you want to do and in this world now days you have to have somekind of college under your belt. I can promise you once you have a steady income and a clean bill of health you'll understand so much more that what you always thought was right for you can easily change.

So really don't be sad, don't stop posting on the site just be a little more positive and you won't recieve evil people posting to you.
