You know, even though I'm fast approaching 70, I've never groped anyone, nor will I. Quite the opposite. I've been groped by young women, old women, and (Yuck!) guys. Some of this not that long ago--it's been a lifelong curse. Quite a bit of it happened while working the Renfest. I think that was on account of the tights. People are weird and disgusting no matter where you are!

Now, me, I like Christmas and all of the silly trimmings. There has to be some season when we dress up this drab world, hide its ugliness, and think of hopes for a better humankind. We can complain about some of the hypocrisy the season fosters, but we have that year round. Christmas isn't special on that account. Working in retail, as I do, can make a person jaded and cynical, but somehow these can be overcome. Carpe diem! You only live once. Don't be miserable! Have fun and share the wealth!

I do agree, however, that it does degrade the season when they start pushing it earlier and earlier each year. Greed, I suppose. But for us poor grunts, it's a paycheck.

kids today aren't raised the way I was or even you were. There spoiled rotten with everything, and when they don't get it they scream bloody murder. I was defanitly subject to spankings as a child and fully intend on doing just that to my little terrors when and if I have them.

The animals are adorable...its funny I live right near a zoo, maybe a half hour drive and yet I never go its a shame.

But glad to see you had a wonderful time and I totally agree on the friends being closer idea. I wish some of mine were too.
