I've found that the two of mine currently taking anti-anxiety meds won't eat a ground up tablet in food the first day (they either smell it or taste it), but if I let it marinate in the food overnight (refrigerated, of course) and nuke it for just a few seconds to take the chill off and bring out the aroma the next day before serving, they don't hesitate to eat it.
