Great article. Thanks for sharing. It pretty much sums up the way a lot of people feel right now. 2006 is all about sale rail specials and picking up OGs that I wore and loves as a kid for me. There's a new 'limited' release every week at the moment and some heads are getting into serious debt. It's like Pokemon memtality - gotta catch them all.

I agree completely. There are so many pairs of shoes that I would love to own and would love to wear that I'll never get my hands on because someone is keeping them in their closet somewhere.
I'll admit I'm occasionally guilty of it myself. But my love of shoes is first and formost about wearing them. I've never bought a pait no matter how rare that didn't fit me.

I dunno, mine just kind of fell apart after a couple of months. The Vans I had before them seemed much sturdier. Though I'm happy with my shell toe Adidas right now.
Chuck Taylors never, ever fall apart. I've had mine for about two years.
All I know is what I've seen. My Chucks were coming apart after months.
