my carpet was the same way. suck it up, get bit before she gets big enough to do damage. she will get used to you eventually. if your real worried, get a snake hook. after a month or two my carpet stopped striking at me when i take her out, unless she is hungry, in which case she strikes at anything that moves, including inanimate objects. the other option is to make a boy take him out for you, usually they calm down after a few minutes out of the enclosure. how often are you feeding her? i feed my carpet two rats a week on average, 10 minutes apart. i think two small consecutive food items are better than one large food item.

I'd say consider a change in head gear, and a nice sweater. I hear tell it's a little nippy in PDX.

yea, i'm questionable on this one. cdbassplyr, where did you hear that Tigers have better temps than normals? this is completely untrue. i suggest you get information from a top breeder like Mike Wilbanks or Bob Clark. some people are full of shit and these business men will be honest with you. otherwise, good luck with everything.

well...besides the retic I've had a corn snake for like, two weeks. I figure I'm ready. haha.
Noooo, I've been with snakes for a good six or seven years now I guess. I forgot where I heard the tigers have better temperment. But as of right now she's not nippy or anything but then, I've only had her for a few hours.
