I have really blonde hair naturally...

And I've had it dyed black for a few months before but because of how blonde it is, I had to dye the roots at LEAST every two weeks in order to not look like I was going bald.

I'm …

I'm also part of the club!

The idea of the blond/black underneath will work indeed on your roots problem, but as a hairdressing student, I'm getting tired of seing it. There's really a lot of girls having those colors, at least here in quebec.

If you miss black that much, I would suggest you to keep the black idea underneath, and dying the top another color, like red or purple or whatever you like, but with a semi permanent color (like punky color). Since the color washes out faster, you'll have to re-do it anyway. Those type of colors are not really dammaging the hair, and since the black hair dye is like the stronger one, it will give a break to your hair smile.

I really hate the bald looking thing, but people around me keep saying I'm the only one who sees it... anyway, after a week I did my hair, my roots is the only thing I watch in the mirror, and I'm obsessed. Happily, I'm studying hair dressing smile.

Okay, I looked at a couple of posts having to do with this, but want more input about this, so here goes.

I've been dying my hair off and on for the last 7 years. Black is, by far, the best color on me. I've been told so by many, …

Tonight, I found a new hair dye from Loreal called "Natural Match," which seems promising. I'll let you guys know how it turns out!

EDIT: I just finished drying my hair after using it, and OH MY GOD it's my new favorite. Seriously, I've never used a hair color better than this.

I have a few spots that have been dyed so many times they refuse to color, and this stuff covered it.

Also, it seems that no matter how carefully I do it, I can still see the the remains of previous dye jobs along the strands of my hair. Like, "Okay, that was the root, that was the job before that, and the one before that.." This stuff covered that, too. It covered EVERYTHING.

It's a little bit pricey, but since it's new, they have coupons in it for $3 off your next box. The conditioner tube they include is huge, AND, the gloves are really easy to take off and put back on if you like to remove them between waiting for the roots to set and finish the all-over application. Maybe I'm crazy, but that kind of shite matters to me. :p

So yeah. All-in-all, I give this stuff a 10 so far. Now it's just a matter of seeing how well it holds up!

Nice N Easy 'Natural Black' Is what I go for. It's jsut pure black. No blue black, no brown black. Just black black black biggrin xox

I definately have to second this.
That's the same dye my fiance uses and it's great.

thirded! smile

4thed! No other black I've used is like this. It doesn't fade, ever. Not like all the blue blacks I've used which go a horrible grey after a period of time. I've bleeched my hair white and natural black has covered it instantly, I wouldn't ever use any other black again.

Fifthed!! I dyed my bleached WHITE hair with this and not only did it COMPLETELY color, but it has not turned grey even a bit. it hasnt faded at all since the day (well, few days) I dyed it. And its hella cheap- usually like less than $6 a box...feria is like $12 around here! I need three boxes to dye my hair, so this makes a difference smile

6th! biggrin Grey coverage is THE way to go. wink

I just dyed my hair black again (it was brown for a while) and I used Garnier 100% Color and it turned out PERFECT. Very very dark and a little blue sheen to it, exactly what I wanted.
What is the best dye you've ever used?

I don't know as far as blacks go..i always end up bleachign them out before they fade. But as far as REDS go...L'oreal. God the reds are SO vibrant and NOT PURPLE (which i hate. it's like the blue/black thing. I want my hair RED, notreddish- purple) or brown (boring). My red stays vibrant for a good two months at least. BUT- the trick is i only wash my hair about twice a week. This might freak some people out, but if you jsut brush it to distribute the oil it's tottaly fine. Use a light product for a nice smell.

now i'm a redHEAD can you tell me what shades you have tried if you remember?

I myself use RR07 from the "superior preference" line, which i think is great. Their reds are all great.

I dye my hair black on a regular basis.

What's the best dye?

I've tried a lot of different things , Feria (it faded so fast), Salon dye job (faded again terribly so), and have settled on Nice & Easy because even though it fades very fast just like the …
