Hopeful Set

So there were a few other threads of people seeking advice, but I thought I'd start an advice thread for everybody, and instead of starting a bunch of different threads we can just use the comments section and tagging to share our wisdom, and our tribulations with each other.
@DESIRE I never really went too far with the business plan above. Shipping is expensive, metal is heavy and expensive and welding in the heat isn't much fun. I do have a TIG welder now (was a certified structural welder for some time). I may revisit it in the future.
I do have a bit of a side gig now where I make 3D models for furniture and home items in a metaverse called Second Life. (Yeah, I went and said it, Meta). It's slow growth, but once the tools are bought, there are no raw materials. The only big investment is in time both in modeling and training myself further and a few subscriptions I maintain to help streamline my processes.
In-world currency can be exchanged in and out, so there is potential for in-world profit. I've applied some to my online licenses and billing, but not yet at the level of paying other bills... slow growth.
I may be able to sell the mesh models in other forums also, but to be honest, I feel like content theft is too easy and DMCA can be hard to enforce... but slow growth is happening and I'm being seen. It's a fun hobby if nothing else.
If you are at all curious what these virtual items are...
@violentlotus oh wow thatβs super cool!
