woohoo! i finally got my international money transfer, but only after managing to overdraw my account by 30 bucks which ended up charging me another 60 in overdraft fees.
aaand i might have a job soon. and there's lots of gardening to do. we're getting a refrigerator this weekend, so we don't have to forage for food everyday. see, grocery shopping is problematic for me, and for my consort, as well. we may go with the intention of buying, say, some pasta. a single box of pasta, and some sauce... but by the time we leave, we end up with beer, and special cheese, some $10 toothbrushes, a potted plant, valentines on sale for 75% off, some weird green soda, a new brand of condoms, several cans of chipotles, some funky flavor of zapps, and a bunch of other stuff we never intended on buying... and then 50 bucks later, we're broke again. so, the idea of actually having a fridge will solve this problem somewhat, by enabling us to make a list and buy things from that list every few weeks or so.
i hate the word shopaholic, because it's stupid and sounds like some crap out of a "cathy" cartoon. maybe it's because i've been out of the country for so long, and i get this weird feeling like i won't be able to buy these things again, and i must buy them now, and look! isn't that neat! oh, wow look at all the good beer?!! and chipotle salsa! wow, we can buy tortillas!!! yeah, that's me at the grocery store. insufferable. " in korea, they only have blah blah blah...."
speaking of beer....
