Tonight I'm in Denver for a work conference.
Normally I live and work right next to the Pacific Ocean in Santa Monica, California, but tonight I'm 1,200 miles from the ocean in the Mile High City drinking water from a bottle.
I'm a sociology research scientist at a policy think tank, but the conference is for economists. Sociologists and economists have very different approaches to studying people.
A little bit of a fish out of water here perhaps, but I was soothed by the fact that Colorado has some excellent local breweries. I verified this fact shortly before also verifying that high altitudes and alcohol are a potent mixture.
Thus, I'm on SG instead of preparing my presentation.
Cheers xo
