I had dental surgery yesterday. The periodontist gave me Halcion to take before hand so I wouldn't be nervous. The thing about anxiety disorder is that taking an anti-anxiety med is something that makes us even more nervous! I'm not sure if people understand that, the nurse certainly didn't when I told her I didn't take it. He offered me nitrous but I told him I just wanted to get it over with. He numbed me up with a local anesthetic and it only took about 45 minutes. I didn't even have a panic attack after he injected it! Wee!
They kept saying how great I did without the Halcion. I guess only 1 or 20 people that gets the surgery goes without the Halcion, and they are usually very calm people. I was numb up until 9pm last night. Now I'm a little sore but not enough to warrant taking my vicodin. That stuff scares me too.
I'm just sad that I can't really do any exercising for a while. I guess I'll just have to sit out by the pool all week reading books. Bummer.

I hope you enjoy sitting by the pool and reading books!
