So the place in live now is hilly. Very Hilly. I love this for the simple reason that at each point of elevation and angel you get a different view of the landscape, and being near the beach , it can get very dramatic. Downright beautiful at times. Also, it makes for some killer runs and roadmarches, totally working out your thighs and calves. One of the best things i did in the army was hill runs and road marches as it amplifies the work your lower body has to do and gives realy good traing.
Points to remember
Zig Zag on going up hills. It provides you with a more level path of movement and ease on the legs and back. ( when carrying a rucksack )
Lean foward into going up hills and lean back going down. Provides stability with the angel changes.
Totally lock your knees with each step, doing so gives your muscles that split second it needs to completly relax.
Take advantage of going down hills to increase speed on a timed run/march/walk.
Sometimes i think my philosphical reflections hurt me more then they help me. Other tims i think people think im full of shit, im considering dropping that hobby for more real world thoughts and not musings that tend to offend. Maybe im just too serious.
