Happy people are like fireworks in the night. Spectacular flashes of light and noise that quickly fade back into the darkness and quiet desperation of the rest of us.

Which is to say, you've got a lot of miseryguts company. smile

The smell of your mardiness dragged me over here. Yes, I am sorry now.

The thing that makes me saddest about my father's lack of care, I can't help but wonder whether his years of living have shown him that it is best not to care. I know it cannot be true - that it is best not to care; love will always be the heart of everything for me.

And then it makes me wonder what kind of...

Oh and I'm down next weekend but am on a hen night so that's pretty much planned.
perdy:

Beyond any doubt, you are the coolest, most absolutely in fact so, and I can not tell a lie.

There is a made up little myth about George Washington, that when he was a kid he chopped down a cherry tree. When his father asked him who did it, little George said, "I can not tell a lie, it was I who chopped down the cherry tree!" His father rewarded him for his honesty by not beating him sensless!

In middle school shop class I sanded some of the goggles with a power sander, rendering them useless. The shop teacher asked us who did it. I stood up and said, "I can not tell a lie; I did it!" I wasn't punished for it. Strange. He just wanted to know, and asked me not to do it again.
forkandles:
Anyone home? Isn't it about time there were some leaves on your trees? wink

How are things with you?

Sorry I'm such a slack-arse delaymonster, I've been moping and navel-gazing like a great big self-obsessed moron, so I haven't had much to say.

Still not much to say.

Typical. Typical things are so bloody boring. I've sort kinda started seeing this guy, yawn, you don't really want to hear about this, do you?

Suffice to say:
- My brain is scrambled. Slowly I am unscrambling it. I hate this crap, I am a whole person, complete unto myself, why is there some part of me that freaks out when someone else appears on...

I've had a funny week. Funny peculiar, not funny haha. PMT and nascent romance are a nasty concoction, very nasty indeed. Love sickness is a very real thing, and I don't know why on earth anyone wants to write a song making it sounds sweet and lovely and a pleasant way to be, it is not.

But now my periods have passed, my hormones are...

Ooooh, your ink is beautiful(!).

Sorry it is so terribly belated.... but thank you for the comment on my set! smile I'm also selling the scarf that I was knitting in the set--and a ball of yarn, to boot--I'm not planning on selling the legwarms as of right now, but if you'd name your pirce for the finished legwarmers I'd consider it. wink

Oops, oh yeah. blush
Sorry. I can't think how I missed it (I gave my visual cortex a half-day? A squirrel stole my eyes and buried them at that moment?)
Anyway, it's beautiful. biggrin

love it.
silverrevolver:

Lovesick, by Bob Dylan

I'm walking through streets that are dead
Walking, walking with you in my head
My feet are so tired, my brain is so wired
And the clouds are weeping

Did I hear someone tell a lie?
Did I hear someone's distant cry?
I spoke like a child; you destroyed me with a smile
While I was sleeping

I'm sick of love but I'm in the thick of it
This kind of love I'm so sick of it

I see, I see lovers in the meadow
I see, I see silhouettes in the window
I watch them 'til they're gone and they leave me hanging on
To a shadow

I'm sick of love; I hear the clock tick
This kind of love; I'm love sick

Sometimes the silence can be like the thunder
Sometimes I wanna take to the road and plunder
Could you ever be true?
I think of you
And I wonder

I'm sick of love; I wish I'd never met you
I'm sick of love; I'm trying to forget you

Just don't know what to do
I'd give anything to
Be with you
