So it's Monday again.
It's amazing how for people that really want me to like them, they constantly treat me like shit.
Friday I go to see a show put on by my friend and her theater troupe in Providence, about an hour away from my house. I enjoyed the show, and afterwards I went out and had a few drinks with her. At one, we parted ways, and I began driving home. On the way, I get a call from one of the guys in the show, who happens to be her ex, which she didn't exactly mention before I got there. Not that I have much to worry about, since we're only friends and all. Anyways, she had originally invited me to stay at her place, since it's a lot closer than my house and it would have been a long drive. She changes her mind after the show, says her house is a mess and she needs to get up early. I say ok, it's believeable.
Then I get a call from her on her ex's phone, and she wants me to explain to the ex about what happened that night. He is doing his best to keep his composure, I'll give him that much, but I had to explain to him what we did and why he didn't see us at a bar he thought we'd be at.
After I talked him down, I realized, why the flying fuck should I have to justify myself to anyone? Yeah, it looks funny that she went out with me, but it also looks damn funny that she invites me to her house, plans it for a week, and then the night of, she changes her mind, and then after i leave, she is instantly with her ex. WTF?
So I'm already pissed. I call up another girl, who lives in Weymouth, who had said she wanted to hang out with me. It's 130am, and she says yes, she'd like to see me that night. So I drive past my house, and start the trek up north to hang out with her. I call her several times to find out where she wants me to pick her up. She calls me back as I'm 5 minutes from Weymouth, and says "It's not a good time." I ask the relevant questions, and yes, she has met another guy in the space of 30 minutes and is going home with him. She calls me back and says she's sorry, so on and so forth, and I can't help but think, "if you're so sorry, why did you do it in the first place?"
Gah.
At least the rest of the weekend was great. Hung out in Haverhill, north of Boston, with a girl that appreciates me for me... drinking, dancing, sleeping, and taking pictures of little leaguers in the rain for seven hours with a professional studio. Made $20.
Sweet.
