Tales from the Crypt Nursing Homes
Guess who worked a double shift today!
(Hint: If you guessed "Colleen," you would be correct!)
The day was pretty much equivalent to suck, but it certainly had its moments. Here are some things that made my day slightly more interesting:
I delivered meds to one home for a woman named Carol Brady. haha! That made me smile. I guess all those years of six children and a gay husband has finally taken its toll. XD
At another facility, an old man gave me elevator eyes. That was also amusing; though if I think about it too much, it could also be a little creepy. But he had to have been like...60+ years old, so good for him? I hope my libido still works when I am a tiny old woman.
There was insane traffic on Oak Lawn because of the construction, and some dudes in a Mustang wanted over. Apparently, they thought it would be more effective to have me roll my window down and ask me to let them in, instead of using their indicator. Whatevs, guys. Whatevs. But it made me smile. Boys are silly.
Then, at yet another nursing home, there was a security guard posted outside, and he told me to use the side door, but to do it as quickly as possible. There was a little old lady hanging around the door, waiting for someone to open it so she could escape. She had attracted quite a crowd of other residents, so I'm assuming it was the most exciting thing that had happened for them in a while. I know what you must be thinking, and it was surprising to me, too, what with all the Bingo they play.
In other news, I can't wait for this season of America's Next Top Model and the debut of Greg Behrendt's talk show.
