Ok, so you've probably heard that weird bit of the President's speech (aka, state o' da union) in which he referred to stopping scientists from creating human-animal hybrids. Well, stopping the creation of actual mole-people is a positive move (despite the fact that Sally escaped the research lab and flourished in her own way), but there's actual reasons to do this kind of research. Keep in mind, its not creating a race of pig-people (or something silly). But its to introduce human defects (like down syndrome) into other animals to do the kind of fucked up tests that you can't do on humans. But its something that deserves to be looked into, simply because it could genuinely help people with genetic diseases or abnormalities. Think about it, won't you?
