So, you know that station i am interning for? Well, i'm still there and I'm doing a bunch of stuff. Some of it is cool. Some of it... eh. To be honest shooting vo/sots and packages every week is kind of a drag. Especially when it's somethign you could not care about if you tried. highlights include: Meridian Township's political sign ordinance, and the Hamilton road heritage pathway... translation "We got a new sidewalk!" YAWN!
But, then there was a shooting at a nearby bank. The crime scene was interesting for the first few minutes, but when you're stuck shooting tape across the street, there's only so much stuff you can shoot before it just gets kind of dull. And I've covered local high school football games, which are actually pretty interesting when you're right next to the action.
ometimes the other interns sound kind of jealous that I've gone out and done these things, and on the one hand I'm glad i have gone out to these things and been getting it done like how they need. But I don't want to be a news cameraman. I want to be in creative things, like "shows". But with more time I'll get to do those things too, since HOM-tv is fairly diverse in their programming.
