EH ERRR! wink

I didn't really get into Metal until I was about 14. I was more into hip hop before that to be honest. Funnily enough though, my first record was The Best of The Two Ronnies: Vol 2 on BBC vinyl biggrin

deleteddelete:
I made a special effort to find one with Max Bygraves for you - I figured he'd be from around your time wink

What was the deal with Debbie's vagina btw? shocked
suicide_pinkie:
My first 7'' was 'Gimme Hope Jo'anna'by Eddy Grant!! My sister bought 'I Should Be So Lucky', by Kylie. That was back in '88 when I was a spritely 10 years old! I think I peaked too soon, and my taste in music has gone downhill ever since.

biggrin

is there a 'my first record' thread anywhere?
almostfamous:
i have been saying that program was complete bollocks!

i think it's the jaw line that it's picking up on, as they're all slightly side-on pictures, maybe the nose shape too, but as a demonstration of the power of their facial recognition software it's a fucking joke! i just thought it was funny they were all hot girls tongue i tried another picture and it gave me tom cruise and enrique iglesias!
mat8drb:
Great journal.

The first record I can remember really liking was T'Pau (yeah, really) at the age of 7. My first record was MC Hammer (oh yes), my first CD was REM's Monster and on the same day Nirvana's Unplugged In New York (Already had the requisite copy of Nevermind on tape).

I can't get through the day without some good music. I really can't.
mat8drb:
Yes. I thought that you know, I'd see how work was going, nearer the time, etc, etc. But after the day I've had today, screw it. I have a ticket in the post.

I've been listening to PJ Harvey mostly this week as well.
mat8drb:
Brilliant. Looking forward to it. smile
datsun:
definitely let me know if you come out this way for vacation. I am still near SF, but am interviewing for a job in NYC on Monday. However, my fam is out here, and I will likely be able to be here when you are. kiss
