So, I'm finally going to try to blog! Let me know what you think, and feel free to give this ADHD almost 40 year old some direction.
In the past 6 months or so I've been seeing a therapist... Nothing new for me- I've been doing it off and on since I was in the second grade (I am a rather confused individual *snicker*). But in between the strange feeling of telling someone you don't know from a bump on a log all about your deepest and most secret of secrets I have had some REALLY interresting moments of self awareness... See, back in college I got my degree in Anthropology with a focus in Archaeology, and let me tell you, it's a great career- it doesn't pay much, so you don't get to eat much or indulge in the usual luxuries like shelter or a wardrobe that is less than 5 years out of date. But you get to dig in dirt and play with sharp tools, which for me is far more interresting! LOL! I don't do that anymore- at least not at the moment- but in getting my degree I learned something. Anthropology is synonymous with "nosey as all get out." So here is where the two come together. I would love to tell you that my insights are deep and meaningful... Mostly they are just slaps on the forehead followed by the exclamaition "why the heck haven't I clued into this until NOW!! JEEZE!!" But slowly the anthropologist in the back of my head has been prompting me to ask "who ELSE is asking these questions? How many other folks are thinking these things, feeling these things..."
So, I just want to throw some thoughts out there from time to time. Give them some thougth, knock them around in your brain. And you can share or not, and that's the best part.
My first thought is this: Have you ever considered taking a risk in life and actually set up a calendar date to see that you get it done? A goofy question, I know. But recently I have been asked to do it and it's not as easy as I thought it would be! For me, I've set three goals- getting a novel put together and off to a publisher, getting back in the field digging holes in the ground and getting into metal smithing (jewelry type stuff). I've committed to it. It's on the old calendar hanging on my desktop. Is this a new thing for most folks, or does anyone else do this same thing? And what do you think of the idea?
Luck and Grins to You!

However, I am of the school...I am going to procrastinate tomorrow....
I will get stuff done, but I purposefully, most of the time, leave the time frame to fate....For example, I do have a goal of around Christmas to have a housewarming party, and I will get there, but the time frame is flexible and will be accomplished a little bit at a time....
