I don't gaurantee the quality of the poetica, but I've always been my own worst judge of my writings, disliking most
I'll start posting these soon and you can, well, judge for yourself just how bad this daily poetry is :)
work's been busy - no surprise - and still haven't set up my vaca dates, though I probably should get them set-in-stone soon ( don't want to play the multiple-3day-weekend-in-a-row game to use them up... drove me absolutely insane last time )
since they have to be used by Sept, I'm vaguely thinking late April and early July to spread it out a bit
even with the couple days we had that made it slightly above freezing, it's been cold - DEMN cold - and already starting to feel trapped by this wintertide *sighs*
nothing is worth the long walk in this weather... nothing a'tall
the Cities are in an odd sort of 'uproar' as we approach the SuperBowl, which will be taking place in the Cities
a LOT of last-minute and obviously unplanned or not-planned-well-enough issues arising as we approach...
thankfully I only live in a suburb, but even here it's starting to affect some roads and attracting... well... criminal sorts ( which I suppose isn't too shocking when one looks into what happens before and during SuperBowls in the chosen cities )
even the PD I know are just kinda shaking their heads - since they've been "asked" in the past decade to ignore crimes by questionably illegals as well as minorities if/as possible *yeesh*
living in the 'burbs of a "sanctuary city" is a wtf, to say the least, and a mindfuck in many incidents
ANYways... shying away from the pathetic political mindscape that arose in the past decade
last weekend my spawnlings had a playdate at the Science Museum which went well - met the girls' friend's father and his girlfriend
the girls enjoyed - both the Museum and time with their friend :)
there's no question, though, that the ex and I are not your normal parents, let alone people - and, by gods, that's a good thing... a VERY good thing :)
I'm an adaptable sort, so - given the chance - I can get along with pretty much anyone ... the ex is an anti-person person, so good luck with that ;)
the only thing that bugs me is how - when meeting strangers outside of work or introductions by others - judgemental strangers are and can be...
I've had great conversations ongoing ( often even started by said stranger ), but as soon as I laugh or smile - *BAM* - b'bye ... sometimes said stranger immediately walked away without even a goodbye - even had one outright cross the street in the middle of the street
*sighs*
thankfully - albiet sadly - I'm used to it... *shrugs* humans tend to be idiots
ANYways... try and stay warm, it's only 6 months to summer, after all - not that bad, right... right ?!?
Farethee well for now, my Lovelies and Gentlefolk !
recent twittage ::
12/30 : I suppose in the right circumstances and under the proper lighting I could be considered relatively sane and 'normal' ...
at least my youngest says I'm "handsome... for a dad... sometimes..." - my eldest has no response to that but laughter *shrugs*
12/31 : I'm still a firm believer that the Pot And Barrel Makers Of Hyrule are the true leaders of that world ( similar to the Illuminati ) - why else would an entire society have no issue with someone with a sword walking into their homes and stores and breaking every possible pot and barrel they find ?!? it's a conspiracy - they're forced to put up with it as the PBMH demands or will suffer the consequences !
1/1 : per the weather, "Just 10 minutes could result in frostbite for exposed skin." - since the closest places are a 30-45min walk, assuming they're even open, I'm gonna pass, thank you very little... *shivers*
1/1 II : *demn* I'd overstepped my goals and already written two poems today - no, this does not mean I'm going to cheat/skimp and skip a day without writing a poem... just means I used up a potential idea for another day, that's all :)
1/3 : through an odd little reversal of fortune, I'm apparently one of the few people in my building NOT having any heat issues :) - not complaining, just find it funny due to past winters before they figured out the primary problems... not the sauna-heat I like, but it's decent/nice
1/3 II : last night's dream was semi-apocalyptic where I had the only existing apt on a nigh-destroyed upper floor where a "punk-archist tribe" hung out... & I ended up earning their honour & respect & adoration with my apt soon becoming a "safe zone" for particular members !!
1/4 : when I said "a full house revival, what's next, the return of other shitty shows like roseanne?" I didn't mean it as a challenge... good gods, of all the shows to revive - what's next, shitfeld ? ( no, NOT a challenge )
1/5 : "with xfinity/comcast we can get you all the basic stations including local for ONLY 99$ a month ( for the first year )"
the stations I already get over the air with my antennae for 99$ a month ?
"it'd be clearer and there's bigger packages available"
bye and no thanks...
1/8 : went mindblind when thinking of the names of vehicles I'd owned - could only remember one
anyone remember the name(s) of my first two? :
the "shit"vette - ?__?
AMC Concord - ?__?
Corsica - "DD ( the Devil's Daughter )"
1/10 : thought for the day : sometimes friends grow apart... sometimes they grow new friends...
1/11 : and that sucked... sidewalk and parking lot were ice rinks - slipped/slid more this walk to work than the entirety of last winter... I could probably have gotten to work faster by crawling :(

unusualist - I have yet to find a religion and/or spirituality that fits my own personal beliefs... other than, of course, the fact I am a (fallen) god.
( y'just now figured out that I'm basically a non-practicing hedonist? "if it feels good, do it, if it feels bad, you're doing it wrong" )
( "I believe in the proven power of willpower and the truth we are the gods we created. No one being created this universe and its wonders." )
( "the words of wisdom I follow will be the words I've written myself based on the life and experiences that I have Lived, Enjoyed, & Survived" )
( "may the platelets of justice travel the bloodstream of villainy, clog its arteries with honourable vengeance, and induce a coronary of truth" )
( "we are all inmates in the same asylum, some of us are just better at bribing the guards" )
( "In a previous life I was the engine block to a '56 chevy, I lost my heart to a Volkswagen Bus... er, wait - or was that a '57?" )
( "Godfuck Me, Jesus!" )
"Lately, we've been playing music by this chap named Bieber, gosh, you should hear the screams"
"Just fear me, love me, do as I say, and I will be your slave..."
"Oh, man. I'm sensing something very canadian about this place..."
"It's all true, god's an astronaut, Oz is over the rainbow, and Midian is where the monsters live..."
Jax : "yay for you, do you want a cookie or a bozo button?"
birdi:
(surprised I read it to the entirety) You have some very interesting thoughts , thank you for sharing and stay warm ^-^
wolfox:
@catgrey thank you! ( I didn't think ANYone ever read my full posts *laughs* ) - my mind goes interesting places, but we live in an interesting world... stay warm, yourself, too !
