So here I am with my first post in the futuristic 2010's, a date that sadly only disappoints. I expected the 21st Century would look at least a bit like Buck Rogers, or maybe slightly Bladerunner ish. Instead everything looks the same and it appears the biggest recent technological leap is a bigger version of my phone without a lot of its useful abilities. Sigh.
And as even more proof that we aren't living in the enlightened future I once dreamed of recent research has shown nearly half of Americas believe a supernatural being blinked us all into existence 10,000 years ago. We can go to Moon, spilt the atom and make the most amazing technology but yet many of us still haven't got beyond a stone age persons way of thinking about the universe.
Enough of this negativity though, some good has happened. Most of it comes in a Jack Russell shaped Jack Russell that I recently welcomed into my home. He's called Chewbacca and he looks like this -
Whilst he'll never be much good at piloting the Millennium Falcon he is good at being horribly cute, chewing stuff and fetching things. He's ace.
However I appear to be allergic to him. Several days after he joined the family this happened -
Thankfully the swelling subsiding after a week, but since then I've been breaking out in odd rashes instead. So thats me on anti - histamines until my body gets over it.
You may of noticed some snow over Christmas and I, like everyone else, took photos of it. I like this one of a tree in my garden -
And in closing he's a couple of my co - workers hard at work -
Actually in closing here's some pictures of a more base interest -
Christina Hendricks -
And the woman I'd invent time travel for so I could meet her when she was really hot, Elvira (and then I'd probably go even further back so I could try and bang her predecessor, Vampira.)
I think that'll do for now.
