Recovering from a Wicked Ice Storm!
So last Tuesday and Wednesday we had an ice storm here in DC. Pretty odd considering today (just six days later) it is sunny and nearly 70 plus degrees outside! As I made my way back into my apartment I was loaded to the max, (not loaded as in drunk or high- I don't do that no more as I'm all straight-edge like now... and not loaded like packing some iron- I don't like guns), but loaded with a tuba on my back, a tuba in my hand, and my computer slung over my shoulder. You are reading this and are like what the hell is he talking about right... for those that don't know me I am a professional tuba player or as I often refer to it as I haul a bunch of shit around all the time. So as I came down the alley into my English basement apartment, (pretty fancy- schmancy name for a dark hole of a place to live in), I slipped on my brick patio that was covered in solid ice! "Holy Fucking Crap," I screamed as I began to fall towards my arse with a big tuba in a soft case (gig bag) on my back, the 'lil tuba in a hard case (thank God) in my hand, and my computer on my shoulder. It seemed like time had slowed down as I tried to catch my balance and fall forward so as not to land on my tuba and crush it or even worse break my back falling on top of it... My novice skills as a skateboarder did me no justice with the weight of the tuba pulling me back and with gravity on her side. Fuck! I did manage to slip one of the straps off the tuba on my back and miraculously that tuba in the gig bag survived the fall without a single dent or scratch even though it totally hit the ground right next to my arse! Dent free she was was even more amazing because when I fell my thick ricking head hit the tuba with a nice big thud and left me with a mild concussion. My poor computer did not survive the crash but what the hell... I bought an even nicer one. Screw Ice storms... I'm gonna go skate in the sun now!

Yeah man the same down here in Maryland. Everything was iced over and hard to get around. The following morning I almost slip walking out of my place. My leg shot straight up like a cabaret dancer, it looked like I was doing the can can haha. Good thing the warm weather is coming.
