God what a month...I'll need a drink after February.
Well work has been insane. Had a client die on the property drinking himself to death, and just like dominoes, others are on the same path. Luckily this time we can do something about it and get them some treatment. Some clients have been doing better. A lot have not. I had a client who was in the throws of schizophrenia and was seriously a 'beautiful mind' waiting to explode. Now with a simple medication (fuck you Tom Cruise), she's fine. Not only fine, but she's so damned coherent she started explaining to me her thought process and why and how she was so paranoid and delusional. The way she described it to me, it sounded like a nightmare/dream that you could not wake up from. But it's good she can laugh and talk about it now.
I'm getting fitter. I'm looking to drop my 5k times under 25 minutes. I've been a little slow and I need to get my speed back. I'm also looking to run a 1/2 marathon (probably have to wait until Oct for Marathon season) under 2 hrs. Those are my two running goals for this year. Next year I want to eventually train for a Ironman distance triathlon. But that's WAY off in the future. I still need a decent bike. So if anybody knows of anyone...
I WAS going to take up rugby and I went to practice for a few weeks. It just always conflicts with Drinking Liberally or work or something. So I decided that I'm gonna stick with running and I can always watch the matches. I'll miss it though...
I'm going to be at the Yankees v Red Sox spring training game at Legends Field on St Pattys day. I'll be there for the Red Cross volunteering, raising awareness and money. Should be fun and I hope I get to see the game. Plus I love ball park hotdogs. Should be good money for the chapter. So if you've already got tix (cause it's most likely sold out) come and check out the Red Cross stand.
Also next Thursday Drinking Liberally will be at Yeomans on Davis Island. We're having Lee Nelson as a guest, he's running for supervisor of elections in hillsborough county. We're hanging out at about 7 - 730. Be there! It'll be fun!
I'm going to DragonCon with Patience, Red_Flynn, and probably shelwel and SiN13. If anyone else is interested in going, let me know! Make a road trip of it.
Anyway, paperwork time. I'm waaaayyy behind, and quite possibly could lose my job if I don't catch up... Late.
