OK, this post is going to be about the happenin's on Monday night and then I will add a comment with Tuesday night.
Well, I decided to go to the Fluffgirl burlesque show at the Hollywood alley. I brought my friend Rini along and I am very glad I did. We had a pretty good time. The show itself was ok. The ladies were amazingly talented and completely beautiful. The problem was that they had this weird host for the show. Some guy that plays a Vampire kind of role or something like that. Well, the old guy has a lot of enthusiasm, but his jokes are so so dry. I don't want to put him down or nothing because I know that he's really trying. But he really kinda puts a damper on the whole show. Furtunately, booze was cheap.
Anyway, once the show was winding down we headed out to a club. The choice was either Sugar Daddy's or ACME. I think ACME was closer, so we went there. Finally after 2 shots I began to feel drunk. They had some pretty good hip hop music going so I did my clown act and had a real good time. Rini got drunk of her ass. I don't even know how many drinks she had that night. And she danced like crazy in the cage. She had an absolute blast.
Afterwards we hung out at the parking lot in front of Gus's pizza and talked a little with some girl and her dog. His name was Jimi Hendrix. I didn't catch the girls name. I got pictures and I will post them up once I figure out how. (I keep saying that don't I). She said she wantd to get naked pictures of herself and her dog. I was too slow to offer up my services and didn't think about it 'til later. But it's ok. I am not a proffesional photographer anyway, so I am sure that she would have turned me down.
Finally after taking Rini home and passing out in her driveway for about half an hour, I got myself in bed at about 4:30. Overall, a great night.

They had a battle of the DJ's thing going on and it was aaaaiiight. It was not really getting anyone on the dance floor, though. Just a few people here and there.
Anyway, so most of the night you had all these DJ's playing Hip Hop, and it was ok but it wasn't too spectacular. Well, towards the end of the night, this tall goofy looking guy with glasses gets on. His name is John Stellar, I think. He does his work with house music. And he fucking blew everybody else out of the water! This was probably the first time that I have ever been impressed with a DJ. Now I might be biased because I happen to like House Techno over Hip Hop for dancing, but it was more than that. He just had a much better rythym and tempo than all the other DJ's. It also seemed like he did more work himself, where as all the other DJ's would let the tracks do the work. I dunno if that makes sense to anyone.
Another funny thing that I noticed was that when the hip hop music was playing, there were people out dancing on the floor. But when Stellar got on, everybody just kinda cleared out. It seems to me than it doens't take too much to dance to hip hop. Anyone can bump and grind and just bounce around out there. But you really have to know what you are doing if you want to dance to House music. I have seen some pretty good House dancers at Radius once or twice but obviously there weren't any at Sugar Daddy's that day.
Anyway, John did not win the contast that night, but I think it was because of politics. It just wasn't the right crowd to appreciate his art. I hope he doesn't quit doing what he is doing, though. Cause he kicks major ass.
