These are from a test shoot I did today, which was supposed to be just a fitting for a local (San Francisco) designer. The actual shoot is Friday but i kind of like these so I thought I'd post them.
I don't photoshop and they need color correcting, AND I know the real ones will be better...but I have blogging time now.
Yes, I still do fashion at 41 and will even use the portfolio from my 20's (mentioning, of course, that I've acquired ink). Awesome or utterly pathetic? You decide. I let them think I'm the age they want to believe I am, and if I do list myself as younger online, I'll mention in my profile that I'm older but need to represent myself a certain way for marketing purposes.
Most clients don't think of a "mature" model as a collection of tattoos, piercings and brightly colored hair. This is my dilemma but it's kept me out of the agencies, which are not always paragons of good health.
It feels kind of weird to post these on here, since SG belongs to a different genre, but this is also me.
I used to work in Paris in the evil, corrupt fashion world walking the runway during Fashion Week, collecting magazine tear sheets and representing mainstream beauty products. This was the 80's and early 90's, my friends. I've decided to do more such shoots because I kind of like it and who knows if any of us will be around tomorrow. This is why I travel when I'm going broke and get tattoos in obvious places. You just never know.
