Of course the trouble with saving money to do an MA is that I've stopped going out even on my day off for fear I shall spend that which I should not. I feel like I'm going a little mad with cabin fever. This was highlighted yesterday when I went round to Sky and JohnStitch's lighthouse where they kindly let me use their scanner to scan a couple of documents for my MA application (which I hope to have sent off by Monday). Sky also cooked a kick arse meal that was absolutely awesome. It was so nice talking to the two of them and having a glass or two of wine that it highlighted how mildly insane I've been going sitting in not doing much. It really hasn't helped that work has been so boring recently that I've seriously considered chewing off my own arm to escape (I'd obviously use the arm as a club to attack anyone who tried to stop me leaving). The frustration is making me over-sensitive and also wanting to snap and snarl at my nearest and dearest. I want to go out and buy graphic novels and then rub the gorgeous artwork all over my face (I'm only half joking). I want to do an MA so badly that I can taste it, but not spending any money (with a few special occasions aside) is going to drive me round the bend I fear. I need to do more writing and work on my photograpy as a distraction because I am physically twitchy and scratchy at the moment which is a classic sign for me of how frustrated/annoyed I am.
It'll all be fine in the long term, I mean I don't need money to have a good time right? Right?

The 90% statistic isn't doctors that don't use it because it's been animal tested, it's those that don't use it JUST because it's been animal tested, so it may well have been, but the wouldn't prescribe anyone with it until it had been through more reliable tests, i guess because up to 90% of animal test results are discarded as they are inapplicable to man. There's actually a really interesting article here about a petition that doctors and scientists are signing to ban/reduce animal testing because it's so misleading and unreliable.
gah, It seems that whenever anyone brings up an issue that matters to me, I accidentally turn my response into some kind of essay!
