WHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Posting to SG when I've had too much to drink. (High Life really is the champagne of beers)
I feel like I'm on the upswing. For a while there I was getting funky funky. Reading a book called A Language Older Than Words can really put you in an extended bad mood. That and Tony Soprano really has had a huge influence on me. Speaking of books I'm reading Lullaby by Chuck Palahnuik right now. It's a breath of fresh air. Not all heavy like the stuff I usually attempt to read. Simply profound. Easy. Nice.
I didn't go to either of the shows I was really excited for this week. It's very easy for me to become a shapeless amoeba when I don't have a structured schedule. AND FUCK, I still have two hallways to paint which I don't seem be able to muster the motivated for. Hopefully I'll be either 3 or 7 steps closer to having a structured schedule for the first time since May 26th as of tomorrow. Not working for 5 months is pretty sweet but I decided to start looking for a big boy job. Plus having the starting pay for my for people in my field with my experience be about twice what I was making in Milwaukee is pretty convincing. I've got an interview with an IT recruiter at 2pm tomorrow. Her name is Monique and seems very friendly and intelligent.
Sports sports sports. Detroit Tigers are going to the World Series. I'm buying tickets for my mother and brother for game two. It's going to be sweet. Who ever they end up playing is getting swept! Football is turning out to be awesome this year. I'm hoping to find someone that is down in SF soon, one that I get along with well that is. I've got the NFL Sunday Ticket, a ton of snacks, and no one to share them with.
Motley Crue's fourth album. I'd say I'm still winning in my battle to remove the idea of relationships from my life completely. I'm hoping to one day live up to the holy example of David Johnson. However I still feel a unique intimacy for and with Valencia. I'm really glad that she's out there having balanced relationships for the first time in her life, because I know that's what she needs, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous. I've been trying hard to warm up to the idea that she is dating and I'd say I've been making decent progress. The great thing about it is once I get past her I'm good as gold. She and I will remain close for a period of time. Lydia and I have taken to being casual friends that write casual emails back and forth on a casual frequency. Where as what's-her-name and I don't communicate at all anymore. Better yet I don't think about her really at all anymore. Kind of like when CJS remarked to me "Woe to us when we so lack the desire to recognize our own shortcomings! And woe to we who lack introspection! And woe to us who are never wrong!" Ahhh, the life game. I must say that it is quite amusing and that it does intrigue me quite from time to time.
That's it for now, it's time to watch the rest of Fight Club, pass the eff out, and wake up to a day full of day tomorrow.
Postscript: The new Blood Brothers album is reeeeeeeeeeeally good.
