So, I've been back from San Diego a week now. Lots of awesome stuff was there - including SG! Why did I not know they were going to have a booth there?
Anyway, I got Julez some SG panties. Thanks to the girls there who signed it. Julez flipped out with happy when she saw them. I think she was very jealous that I got to meet them in person, and would like to have done the same.
I also went to a number of panels, the best of which was one with PvP, in which they played a hilarious cartoon in which a necromancer sang a version of "part of your world" from the little mermaid about destroying the world, in which he kicked a puppy, cut children's heads off, and made a kitten explode. It's supposed part of a 90 minute movie the webcomic "Looking for Group" is doing with Blind Ferret Entertainment. I can't wait.
There was also a huge comic I got called Ascend - it has the most amazing art you'll ever see. If Alex Ross used photoshop and painted angels battling in heaven you'd get this comic. The Nightly News is another new comic to check out - it's the VH1 animated pop up style of info-graphics used to tell the story of a man killing reporters to get back at them for the stories they report wrong and the cult that forms around him and "the voice."
Anyway, now I'm editing a film for a friends production co. back in town and have to focus on finishing a first cut. It's gonna be a bit difficult since there is a lot of footage, but some of the performances are very lacking, so I'll have to actor proof my editing. Fortunately film is about a photographer going through his past by going through his old photos with two friends, and that'll lend itself to some interesting editing techniques.
Alright. Nuff' said. Back to work.
